Getting a lot of bruises in just 2 hours...BAD FARMERS!!!

I woke up at 6 o’clock in the morning and charlotte too as we don’t have mom Irmgard anymore to prepare the breakfast for us so we had to prepare everything alone. Charlotte went to buy some bread and some jam to have for breakfast while I prepared some Arabic coffee and filter coffee, the others woke up at 7:30, had some breakfast, thanks to Rengo farm who donated for us as much as we need milk, also they donated for us tomato and cucumber. After that we had a meeting in the nice balcony of the school, Fiona told us what exactly the program for today then we had some discussions about what we are going to talk and tell the children in the school when we meet them in their classes as we were invited to attend their classes and talk to them about our culture and our situation. It was an interesting discussion. Jacob, Claudius and Katharine took the others to a tour in the school, because it is a really big school, they had a lot of fun they even entered some classes and watched what the students are doing, while I was preparing some food for lunch and Charlotte was out to the market again to have some shopping. We had some kind of salad (banjar salad), some smashed potato from the left over potato and some cheese, I think they didn’t like it so much, hehehehe as they needed real lunch heavy one with some meat, but sorry we couldn’t make it for the first day, maybe next days. At 2.30 we went to Helchen Farm, 40 min away, to work there and help the farmers and then get some food instead of money. We went there but we didn’t know what exactly work we were going to do but anyway we were very exited about it. We arrived there and all what you could see green field nothing else no streets, no houses, nothing at all. We were introduced to the work that we are going to do and it was cleaning the carrot field by taking off the grass and the spikes from the carrots field. So first we had to lie on our stomachs and our faces acing the ground but a little bit high from the ground on a lifter. A farmer from there drove the trucktor and we started working. There was a lot of bees a lot of mosquito’s and a lot of wild flies. I had an accident while working, I was trying to fight with a big wild fly and I hit my nose in the edge of the wooden stage that we were sitting on, I just felt as if my nose was broken, it really hurt me a lot and it started pressuring on my teeth, but the work and the fun of this work just let me forgot any pain I had, the trucktor driver went home and we stayed without a driver so they let me drive it.I had so much fun believe me . After two hours working in this farm we went to the farmer house to get our food, they gave us some beans, pigs mixed with cows sausages, cabbage, tomato and cucumber. We took the stuff back to the school and we found out that the other part of the group had already left to the lake and they left for us a message telling us: “ we are waiting you guys in the park, Annie, Feras, Motasem”. They are the other group that were in Switzerland. We went to the park and it was very nice to see all the group together playing swimming and talking. While we were sitting we discovered that all the people that went to work in the farm (Martha, Katharine, Anna, Charlotte, Bilal, Ahmad, Majd, Gadi, Me "Amira") had bruises in their hands from working in the farm you should see us, we got bruises in the same place. Anyway we had a nice time together and one visitor also joined us, Pablo, Anna’s brother, he is such a nice guy. We went back to the school and we had meeting, some of us were very hungry and prepared some food to eat. Claudius and Jacob made us a surprise it was the arrival of Samuel another germany friend who was in walk your talk conference, everybody were very happy and we stayed late talking and laughing…..SABABA!!!!!! the guy in the picture is Pablo!!!!
